Roadworks and road closures

This page shows roadworks or events held on roads by Council and any of our contractors that may result in significant detours and delays.

It doesn't identify roadworks being done by other agencies, such as power and telecommunications companies.

Most of our roading projects take place over summer, but we carry out some routine maintenance to our water network over winter.

Waikato Expressway - Northern Interchange (Velodrome) closures overnight 8-9 September

𝗡𝗭𝗧𝗔 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:

• The Northern Interchange (Velodrome/Cambridge West) will be closed overnight on Tuesday 8 September and Wednesday 9 September, from 6pm – 6am (weather dependent).

• During these closures, there will be a detour via the Victoria Road Interchange (Hautapu).

There will also be an overnight closure on Victoria Road Interchange (Hautapu) from Monday September 21 to Monday September 28, from 8pm to 6am (weather dependent).
